The AMD Sempron 2800+ was a desktop processor with 1 core, launched in May 2006. It is part of the Sempron lineup, using the Manilla architecture with Socket AM2. Sempron 2800+ has 128K of L2 cache and operates at 1600 MHz. AMD is building the Sempron 2800+ on a 90 nm production process using 81 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Sempron 2800+, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 62 W, the Sempron 2800+ consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. For communication with other components in the system, Sempron 2800+ uses a PCI-Express Gen 2 connection. This processor does not have integrated graphics, you will need a separate graphics card. The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
