The AMD Athlon II X3 460 was a desktop processor with 3 cores, launched in May 2011. It is part of the Athlon II X3 lineup, using the Rana architecture with Socket AM3. Athlon II X3 460 has 512K of L2 cache and operates at 3.4 GHz. AMD is building the Athlon II X3 460 on a 45 nm production process using 300 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Athlon II X3 460, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 95 W, the Athlon II X3 460 consumes a good deal of power, so decent cooling is needed. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory with adual-channel interface. For communication with other components in the system, Athlon II X3 460 uses a PCI-Express Gen 2 connection. This processor does not have integrated graphics, you will need a separate graphics card.
